Personal: I have lived in Newton since 1991.  My wife Lois and I raised our children here.  They attended Burr, Day and North.  

Profession: I am a CPA and Consultant to Management.  My career in consulting saw me leading large business transformation projects enabled by people change management and enterprise technology.  My clients were in financial services, high tech and consumer manufacturing, public and private utilities as well as state and local government.   As a hands on program executive I was responsible for planning, delivering and reaching budget and profitability goals for programs  with budgets as large as $100m and comprised of several hundred team members.  My functional experience, in addition to finance, includes logistics, procurement, systems, regulatory compliance, human resources and information security.  I also have a background in taxation.

Current and Previous Political Experience:

  • Current Ward 4 Newton Councilor.  Serve as voting member of the following committees:
    •   Land Use
    •   Public Safety
    •   Audit Advisory and Risk
  • Member of Brookline Town Meeting. Elected position. I worked on finance, housing and environmental items.
  • Founding member of the Residents for Responsible Development in Auburndale, an association of neighbors who worked with a developer to devise alternatives that could result in a win - win for the City, the neighborhood and the developer.


President of the Board of Trustees at the All Newton Music School 2014 - 2017.  ANMS is one of the oldest community music schools in the country and its mission to provide "Music for All" makes it a true treasure.
